There are many ways in which you can send a message to people. But one of the best ways is through wearing funny t-shirts - which can send several different messages at once.
Firstly you are letting people know that you are light-hearted and laid back because you can take a joke. In addition you also are sending the specific message the shirt actually says. These shirts can be funny because of the graphic that is on them or for the phrase that is written on the shirt. It does not matter which makes the shirt funny, just as long as you choose a shirt that has a message with which you agree.
What makes a funny t-shirt funny is not always what the actual message says, but sometimes it is because that message is on a shirt and someone is wearing it. When you do not do this, you will be sending the wrong message. People will automatically assume you agree with your shirt because you chose to wear it. So although these shirts send a message, you want to make sure it is the message you want sent.

T-Shirts as a Cultural Phoenomenon

If there is any one global cultural phenomenon in this world today it has to be T-shirts. Most everyone seems to be wearing one with some particular design or saying. It seems that people really find it enjoyable and fun to express themselves in their own unique way. They find a T-shirt with a design they like or get a customized one for all to see.
One especially popular theme you see on T-shirts will be the I love T-shirts. Many of these are customized "I love" or "I heart" shirts that allow for adding the item, object, thing or person that you love in text form. People simply want to tell and show others what they love. However, there exists a T-shirt with a different kind of spin to this love theme. You can call it a "love-hate" shirt or "hate-love" shirt. I suppose it sort of draws attention to the love-hate relationships many people might have with something or someone.
Various people refer to this love-hate relationship kind of thing that holds those opposite emotions of loving something or someone along with disliking the same thing or person at the same time. It seems there might be some similarity with respect to this love-hate thing and how some men or women talk about the enjoyment and trials of living with a significant other. For example, many men have said this about women "women, you can't live with them and you can't live without them". I suppose women might often say the same thing about men.
However, this love-hate thing has now been put on a T-shirt. You can find it in two different ways. If the T-shirt reads "hate" as you see it visually, then its reflection in a mirror would show the word "love". You'll also find T-shirts that show the opposite where you see the word "love" without using a mirror and see "hate" as the reflection. I'm guessing this T-shirt would be a nice novelty topic of discussion if the person wore it in public or among friends.
